COVENTRY KIDS (1960)

Coventry Kids: People of a Restless City is a personal view of the industrial life of a great city by acclaimed British documentary maker Philip Donnellan, highlighting the skills, hopes and fears of its people.

The film shows the people of Coventry at work in the car factory during the week and enjoying stock car racing and playing darts and dominoes in the pub at the weekend, ending with a spirited R&B rendition of “"Who Threw the Whiskey in the Well?” by a quintet upstairs.
